What should be paid attention to when PE hot-melt pipe is connected by hot-melt

PE hot-melt pipe fittings are generally used for hot melting, but in the hot-melt process, it is necessary to connect the pipe fittings. The welding fixture shall extend a certain free length at the connecting end of the two connecting parts to be connected, and straighten the two corresponding connecting parts to make them on the same axis. The wrong side should not be greater than 10% of the wall thickness. This is the correct hot melt connection method of PE hot melt pipe.


When the PE hot-melt pipe fittings are connected with the hot melt, the dirt on the connecting surface of the pipe, pipe fittings and pipe accessories shall be wiped with clean cotton cloth, and the connecting surface shall be milled to make it perpendicular to the axis. The section surface of the part to be connected shall be heated by means of a fusion butt joint tool.


After heating, the connecting parts shall be separated from the heating tool quickly, and the melting uniformity and damage of the heating surface of the parts to be connected shall be checked. Then, the joint surface is fully contacted with uniform external force and the flange is turned to form a uniform flange. The height and width of flange shall conform to relevant regulations.


If PE hot-melt pipe fittings are to be welded with different SDR series pipes and pipe fittings, it is advisable to make the wall thickness of welding parts the same by machining. During welding, each welding joint shall have detailed original welding records. The original welding record shall at least include the ambient temperature, welder code, welding port number, pipe specification type, welding pressure, drag pressure, pressurization time, heating plate temperature, switching time, heat absorption time, cooling time, etc.
